Super Soccer Camp Soccer-X Master the Mental Game
Description: Most coaches focus on the tactical, technical and physical in soccer practice and ignore the mental. That is because most coaches have not had any training in soccer psychology. Dr. Jay Martin has been a practitioner of soccer psychology for over 35 years with tremendous results.
Adding psychological goals to the training session is one of the main reasons we have been successful. Dr. Jay Martin is the winningest coach in NCAA history and our program has won more games than any other college or university in this country since 1980 and we have played in 34 NCAA tournaments in 38 years.
The key to this success is consistency. Coaches want programs and players to be consistent! And consistency can be developed through sports psychology training.
This camp will combine classroom work with on the field training in soccer psychology. The players will use the same techniques that our players at Ohio Wesleyan University use. We will focus on strategies that can help the players consistency right now.
Why Attend Dr. Jay Martin’s Soccer Psychology Camp? |
As the head coach of Ohio Wesleyan University Men’s Soccer, Dr. Jay Martin has applied sports psychology concepts to the players for over thirty-five years. The US Soccer Federation states that there are Four pillars of Soccer: The Physical, The Technical, The Tactical and The Mental.
